As we scale operations across our venues and digital platforms, we are seeking a proactive, detail-driven Finance Manager to lead our finance and accounting functions. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure to payroll, compliance, financial forecasting, and integrated digital systems across a multi-entity group. Key Responsibilities
- Determine, implement, monitor, and evaluate budgetary and accounting strategies, policies, and plans in consultation with Directors and operational Managers.
- Provide financial information and interpret the implications for business performance, funding needs, and strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of accounting systems and digital finance tools.
- Direct the preparation of financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and analysis of future earnings and income across all group entities.
- Assess capital finance proposals and monitor the financial status of operational projects.
- Advise on investment strategies, sources of funding, and the distribution of earnings.
- Deliver long-range profit forecasts, annual budgeting, and financial performance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Australian financial legislation, taxation obligations, and Fair Work requirements.
- Manage payroll processing, award interpretation, and timesheet oversight using integrated systems.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum three years’ experience in a finance, accounting, or senior bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in Xero — this is a must!
- Strong understanding of Australian Taxation obligations, BAS, payroll tax, and Fair Work compliance.
- A degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and support multiple business units simultaneously.
- Experience in the hospitality or service industry is highly regarded but not essential.
