We are currently recruiting for experienced Chefs to fill positions across our own venues and our client network throughout Southern Western Australia. ✓ Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation, negotiable within the Federal Award based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to a consistently high standard, in accordance with established recipes and the venue’s culinary direction.
- Ensure all dishes meet quality, presentation, and safety benchmarks before leaving the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in full compliance with food safety and WHS regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth, efficient service.
- Work at pace in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including during busy service periods.
- Assist with stock management, mise en place, and kitchen organisation as directed by the Head Chef.
- Contribute positively to kitchen culture and support a productive, professional team environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Trade qualification as a Chef — Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent — this is a must!
- Minimum 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during high-volume service periods.
- Passion for food, creativity in cooking, and a keen eye for detail and presentation.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends.
